 This is a superb model of the 1955 Le Mans winning Jaguar D Type of Mike Hawthorn - Ivor Bueb. This was the car involved in the terrible accident with the Mercedes of Pierre Levegh causing the most horrendous racing crash of all time leading to the withdrawal of Mercedes from racing. A very factory built Starter model still new in the showcase.
